Cold ‘n’ Rainy
What is it about this almost snowy weather? My hands are freezing. These should be filed under the Random Thoughts tab. I ask my daughters to do very little. At least, very little compared to the chores I used to do, and with a lot less lip to my parents. My youngest, when asked, gives me the business and says I should take pity on her. “But I’m the fruit of your loom,” she says… Last week I’m at a meeting and this one woman starts talking about her grill, the kind you use indoors that cooks chicken breast or whatever without grease or added fat. Bad Girl
Spanky spanky. That’s for the long delay between posts (thanks to all y’all for the nudges). Sorry, new biz stuff is eating my brain. I think I’ve got it figured out, though, and will soon grow a new brain. Check back soon for further proof. Mia UpdateI have been hearing from Miss Mia, for those who want to catch up. Hard on its heels, though, was the nastiest of colds, achoo, and then two sickie kids, yuk, and then all the stuff I couldn’t do while hob-nobbing on Nob Hill and being ill. This is starting to sound like performance poetry. I’ll try to contain myself.I have three events on Saturday for which I am ill-prepared, har…

The Way Things Change, Or Not
About a week ago I was waiting in the dungeon-like parking garage at Kaiser in Oakland for the valet to bring out my car. He walked up and said, “Who has the Honda Odyssey?” A lady and I both stepped forward and said, “I do.” Another valet pulled forward in a white minivan, my minivan, and the lady said, “That’s mine.” “It’s mine,” I started to say, and then I realized that I had actually driven a white Mitsubishi Outlander that day, the only car I own, and that it has been five years since I owned a white Honda minivan. That’s the car I used to drive when I…
